The Corbett national park situated in Nanital district of Uttaranchal (Uttarakhand), north region of India. Corbett National Park is world famous for rare spices of Himalayan tigers. According to experts there might be less than 3000 tigers in India. The "project tiger", which declared by Indian Government in 1973 for protects the tigers in more than 20 of national park and Jim Corbett National Park was the first among others to participate in it.

520 square km large park was developed in 1936. 448 different species of plants, 585 species of fauna, 7 species of amphibians, 7 species of fish, 33 species of reptiles and 37 species of dragonflies are recorded in the park so far.

The oldest national park of India, located near by Nainital (the lake city of India) and a famous hill station of India at the foothills of the Shivalik of mountains of the Himalaya. Jim Corbett, from where the park name has been derived has played a key role in its establishment. Before it was named Hailey National Park which later has been changed as Jim Corbett National Park.

It is surrounded by valleys, hills, peaks and mountains.   The national park area is homeland of tigers, leopards, elephants, apes, foxes, deer, wild pigs, sump crocodiles and innumerable other species. Ecotourism has gain massive popularity in this area and elephant safari, Jeep Safari are organized by the Park admin.  The prime attraction of Jim Corbett has a rare look of Himalayan Tiger ". Jim Corbett also includes outstanding fishing possibilities in the Ramganga River.
