Closing time of Char Dhama door/ kaptas (Badrinath, Kedarnath, Yamunotri and Gangotri) of Uttarakhand, India: 2019

Badrinath On Sunday 17 November 2019, 05:13 pm, the Kapats (doors) of Badrinath Dhama is closed for the winter. The idol of Lord Vishnu will be placed in Joshimath. 

Kedarnath:
Door of Kedarnath Shrine are closed on 29^th October. Thereafter, lord Kedarnath will go to Omkareshwar Temple.

Gangotri:
Door of Gangotri shrine is closed on 28^th October and palanquin of Deity Ma Ganga is taken Mukhba village.

Yamunotri:
On 29 October the doors of Yamunotri shrine are also closed. The palanquin of Ma Yamunotri is taken to Karsali village winter stay.
 Pilgrims can still travel and visit the Deities in above mentioned places. In approx. March next summer, Deities will go to their main shrine.
